More than just a game. Rebels to Remember is a movement, a call. For more awareness, transparency, humanity, and sustainability in the fashion world.
Rebels to Remember was born out of rebellion, love, and rage. Out of rage at the fast fashion industry, at the fast-paced fashion driven by a few large corporations whose owners are mainly concerned with profit. Mass-produced goods are sold at low prices – but someone else pays the price for it. Especially the people in the supply chains, the environment, and our planet.
In 2018, I watched a documentary about the fast fashion industry (The True Cost). For the first time, I realized who I was actually supporting with my shopping sprees. Since then, I’ve been sewing my own clothes, trying to use more sustainable materials, and inspiring others to reflect on their clothing and consumption habits.
Doch das allein reicht nicht. We need to become more. A broad mass of people who are aware of the impacts and live alternatives. Only then can we change the existing system.
That’s the story. And that’s exactly what this game is about.
12 characters from different worlds carry real facts about the fashion industry within them – from cotton farmers to influencers, from children to journalists.
7 System Cards expose the mechanisms of fast fashion: artificial scarcity, overproduction, greenwashing, and more. Win together. Lose together. Find 7 Rebels together before the System Cards are revealed.
A game about enlightenment, community, and collective action. For 1–8 players.
The more of us there are, the easier it is to beat the system.
