At the Kleiderklammer Workshops, you learn to understand, design, and experience clothing with your own hands – slowly, practically, and with joy in the material.
This workshop is for anyone who wants to sew their own clothes but is just starting out.
Together, we’ll dive into the basics:
Types of fabrics and their properties
Basic stitches and sewing techniques
Introduction to the sewing machine
Trying out different sewing machines
Safety and a feel for materials & tools
To gain confidence and create a good foundation for implementing your own projects.

For anyone who can already sew but has only worked with finished patterns. In this workshop, you’ll learn how a pattern is really created. We’ll take measurements, translate the body into lines, and develop a simple basic pattern together – as a basis for many more garments.

Do you have a special fabric or garment that deserves a second chance?
Bring it along – we’ll take a look together and make something new out of it.
The workshop begins with a joint brainstorming session:
What is hidden within the material? What could emerge from it?
Then we implement the idea step by step and sew a new, wearable piece.
Together, we create a new, individual upcycled piece from old fabrics or garments
Additional material and sewing accessories (if needed & available), Personal support during the process

Previous knowledge is an advantage, but not necessary – we work according to the motto 'Learning by Doing'.
